BANISH DOUBTS AND UNCERTAINTIES
Scripture for Today: Exodus 5:20-23 (KJV)
20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

Word for Today
One of the battles every child of God must win in these last days of the Church is a bout of doubt and uncertainty the enemies frequently project into the minds of believers. It is important to note that even God’s chosen vessels, sometimes in their walk with God face challenges that stir up doubt and anxiety. When Moses accepted God’s commission to deliver the Israelites, his first encounter with Pharaoh left him with doubts about the possibility of fulfilling his mission. Thereafter, during one of his visits to the palace to demand for the freedom of his brethren, his anger revealed the frustration he was experiencing because of Pharaoh’s stubbornness.

Elijah, the fiery prophet, was feared by many people because of the power of His words; whatever he said came to pass, yet he experienced times of doubt and uncertainty. Jezebel’s threat caused him so much fear that he despaired and ran for his life. However, God encouraged him. In the Holy Bible, many prophets and servants of God faced challenges that either shook their confidence or made them afraid. Our fathers, Abraham, Jacob, Jeremiah and others faced such challenges. Also, the disciples of our Lord Jesus, faced the same challenge during the period of His trial, crucifixion, death and resurrection. The Lord had to visit and follow them up, to gather together again at Jerusalem. The Lord shall not abandon you in Jesus Name!

Beloved, what is that thing you are facing that is challenging your faith in the Lord? Have you been battling with bouts of doubt and anxiety because of your situation? You are not alone in this battle. It will interest you to know that God’s chosen vessels are bound to experience such trying times, to prove their loyalty and confidence in their God (Acts 14:22b). You must understand that debilitating fears, doubts and uncertainties are part of the enemy’s efforts at weakening your faith and spiritual effectiveness in God’s service and kingdom. Therefore, banish your fears, doubts and uncertainties like the three Hebrew youths that refused to bow and worship the image of the king (Dan. 3:15-18). Hallelujah!

Decision: I shall not doubt or fear; but shall trust in God’s faithfulness.

Prayer: Dear Lord, make me bold and fearless as a lion.

Declaration: By God’s grace, you shall accomplish your divine purpose in life.

God bless you.
